Ever since they were children, Buford and his closest friend Jackson Sims were as thick as thieves, with a love of magic and robotics, they promised each other that they would one day build the world's greatest giant robot, no matter how they did it. After years of building their names, moving to Libero and starting the engineering company Stalford and Sims, they were suffering from success of their booming business. It wasn't all pretty, though, as early in the company's life, the combination of increased demand for their services and the overseas war effort affecting all Ustarians, a conflict of interest had sparked between the two. After a fight between the two had reached the boiling point, Jackson soon left the company and went overseas to assist in the war, leaving Buford with a quickly crumbling business and a sense of strong loneliness. After news spread around about the results of the war, the harsh reality of war soon struck western Ustaria, when Buford had gotten wind that she never made it back home. Buford, in a wave of anger and grief, destroyed his reputation and an entire city block along with it. People who survived and witnessed the incident dubbed him The Tyrant, and he had lost everything that they had worked so hard for. This incident, either through coincidence or fate, led to him netting his now boss/comrade Loki, who had offered him a position in his group, called Loki's Children. Getting involved in the underworld of Ustaria would turn out to be a blessing in disguise for Buford, as his strength and expertise with machines allowed him to become a fast growing name in Ustaria and sparked his passion to achieve their dream once more, not only for himself, but to pay respect and carry on his late friend's name.

He has an average education, but his expertise in artificing makes him seem much smarter than he really is. He won't correct your assumptions though.

Nothing will stand in the way of his dream. Rules and laws that don't make sense to him, shouldn't apply to him.

Achieving his dream of creating the greatest mech of all time, though it may be childish, it was a shared dream between him and his longtime friend Jackson Sims. Works for Loki, who he is very loyal to, and his beneficiaries.

Has a hard time getting along with most, if at all, people, and expects high respect without giving it back. Fumbles with women and mentioning robots of the giant variety is an easy way to distract him.

Likes: Giant Robots, Fights, Intriguing people.   Dislikes: Boring people, Cowards, Old Magic, any mention of Jackson.

Doesn't back down, even in the face of death, usually being the first to a fight or the calvary. His experience with Artificing puts him in an amazing place with moneymaking and shops. Coos and gangs pay him in high respects, giving him fair leeway with restrictions.

Hates being bored, and if he gets too bored he creates his own brand of "fun." Doesn't respect most laws or rules but typically he gets his way, so he sorta expects it. Violence is the best solution with him, and has a hard time being told no.

If he gets too bored he starts to dig around his surroundings, awkward around women and is very nitpicky and analytical about machinery and magic usage.

Doesn't believe in higher powers, and knows and has proof of spirits being real but thinks being scared of them is silly.

NOT a people person. Brash, rude, standoffish and very easy to piss off, most people avoid him and vice versa. Only has two truly positive connections with people, being Loki and Jackson.

Blunt with his words and can be rude, but he thinks before he speaks and knows when to hold his tongue. He's very boastful and confident in his abilities.

Loves building things and studying new techniques and tricks to sharpen his handiwork. Likes to see how many weapons he can pack in his arm.
