observance of the law
Exegi have a deep respect for the law. This makes that crime rates are very low. Smaller violations of the law, like fights or smaller damage to other peoples property, happen quite often but most of the time the culprit reports himself to the authorities. In these cases the judiciary consequences of the action are seen as 'payment' for the violation by the public.self discipline
As a result of this respect for the law, people also value being in control. This means both being in control of your family (the authority of a parent) as self discipline. Also a control over ones emotion is appreciated. Even being able to drink large amounts of wine is perceived as positive. Showing that one is not affected by alcohol is seen as control over ones own body. Acting drunk and vomiting on the other hand are heavily frowned upon.Common Etiquette rules
fighting in public
In the Exegi society attacking someone without warning is highly frowned upon and seen as someone not being capable of handling his anger. If someone wants to fight another person he first has to spit in front the feet of the person he wants to challenge. If the challenged person steps upon the spit, the challenge is accepted and a time and place to fight is decided.Common Taboos
Showing any heavy emotion is 'not done'.
