Deity
The mighty ones who leave the world Made and Changed in their footprints.
Basic Information
Anatomy
There are many deites, in many shapes. Almost all of them are big, much larger than even the largest animal. Most are patterned from animals, but they all have missing pieces, or too many pieces.
Genetics and Reproduction
Who knows how gods are born? Certainly not them.
Ecology and Habitats
Most -- if not all -- of the deities live in the mountains. If there are deities outside the mountains, no one has ever heard from them. Even the most widely-traveled deity does not leave.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Many of the gods do eat and hunt, though as living Ideas they certainly don't need to to survive, unless the Idea that they are demands it.
Biological Cycle
Who knows? Certainly not the gods.
Additional Information
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
Deities represent Ideas or Feelings about the world. These can be something as powerful and ever-present as the Passage of Time, or as ephemeral as Unexpectedness. Whatever it is that they are the walking, thinking manifestations of, they have dominion over what they are, and will always be present in.
Civilization and Culture
Naming Traditions
Their names are four syllables.
Major Organizations
They exist unto themselves, and no deity controls another. Adeaba has his court of all foxes, while his sister Marainein has her raven servants who watch over her works. Ninsumunak minds all herds.
History
Who knows where they came from, or how or why they exist? Perhaps if there was a Deity of Birth, they would know, for a Deity of Birth would surely understand their own birth, but none exist.
Interspecies Relations and Assumptions
They don't care for humans. Sometimes this means that they ignore them. Sometimes this means that they eat them. It's always a toss-up, and made a lot more complicated by the fact that the humans keep trying to trap them or use them in those ongoing wars. They don't like that.
