Human

"The Elf waits for the tree to grow into a shelter. The Dwarf waits for the mountain to reveal a cave. The Human? The Human cuts down the tree, blasts a hole in the mountain, and builds a castle before the sun sets. They do not have the patience to let the world accept them, so they force the world to hold them."
— Elder Oaka, Wood Elf Historian (with a sigh)

Origins: The Unfinished Clay

Humans are believed to be the "Unfinished Project."

  • The Moldable Soul: Myth says the Gods ran out of specific blueprints when they got to Humans. They didn't give them claws, wings, or stone skin. Instead, they gave them Audacity.

  •
  • The Invasive Species: Humans are the "Weeds" of Cruinlagh, in the most complimentary way possible. They can grow anywhere. Throw a Human in a swamp? They build stilts. Throw them on a frozen peak? They wear furs. They are not biologically suited for any specific biome, so they use tools to conquer every biome.

  •
  • The Disruption: They are the largest population not because they are the strongest, but because they reproduce relatively quickly and refuse to die quietly. They are the "Loud Majority" of Mornvahl.

Cultural Values: The Cult of Legacy

Humans are obsessed with Permanence.

  • "I Was Here": Humans are terrified of being forgotten. This drives their obsession with naming things. Buildings, swords, mountains, children. They carve their names into history because they know their bodies won't last.

  •
  • The Loudest Room: Human cities are noisy. They shout to communicate, they use loud machinery, they play brass instruments. A Human market is a sensory nightmare. Humans view noise as "Life." Silence makes them nervous.

  •
  • Stubbornness as a Virtue: If you tell a Human "You can't farm here, the soil is too rocky," they will spend three generations picking rocks out of the dirt just to prove you wrong. They value Grit over logic.
