Jade Delta

A broad and shallow fan of mudflats and tidal marshes where the slow and turgid waters of the enormous Jade River flow into The Dawn Coast. From the delta, the Jade River winds its way only a short distance inland before reaching the Black Cliffs and the Jade Cascades.   Although prone to flooding during the seasonal monsoons, the higher lying and more stable flats are exceptionally fertile ground, and are the locations of much of the agriculture on the Dawn Coast. The majority of the river delta is now privately owned, with only scraps of unstable and shifting mud left unclaimed.
