Shadar-kai

The Shadar-kai are a mysterious and shadowy subrace of elves. They are closely tied to the Shadowfell, a plane of darkness and despair, and serve the Raven Queen, a goddess of death, fate, and memories. Known for their pale skin, shadowy features, and often adorned with intricate piercings and tattoos, they are shaped by the Shadowfell’s bleak influence, giving them an eerie, almost otherworldly appearance.

Shadar-kai are resilient and enigmatic, their souls hardened by the Shadowfell’s touch. They often appear cold or distant, but they are fiercely loyal to their goddess and their purpose, often acting as her agents in the mortal world to retrieve memories, enforce fate, or guide the dead. In combat, they are agile and deadly, blending elven grace with shadow-infused powers.

Considered rare in this world they're seen in The Empire of Mori as lower class citizens because of their natural affinity with magic. The Kingdom of Therassia considers them corrupted members of the Elven race. They're hated by The Northern Clans as unnatural magical creatures.
