1. What happened during the last known world that she knew? As in was it destroyed because of the ritual or something like that?
   
   

   The ritual to bind the Archmages was met with opposition from the Gods, they launched a massive attack on the Great Engine and the two forces of Archmage and God clashed. The violence was so great it rearranged the lands, broke continents and bore a hole through the moon. About 90% of life was destroyed in this great catalysm, the Gods severed from the world and Magic disappeared.



2. Did alexander ever fill her in on what happened to the outside world somehow during however long she's been in here?
   
   

   Alexandr told the Soul Bound Archmages that Maximillian betrayed them and he had to sever the world from the Gods and magic to stop him from becoming a tyrannical God. Magic ceased to be outside of the reserves stored by the Great Machine. He spoke to her a few times over the centuries as her fellow Archmagi lost their minds in the return of Magic and only she managed to cling on to her sanity. He left to work on the continent to the East and empower their people to fight against Maximillian especially if he managed to bind to the powers of the Demi-Gods.

3. What about the 4 corpses that were presumably the founders of the Kingdom, the empire, the northern plains monarchy, and one more i forgot. Do the arch mages know them? Or were they related to the ritual?
   
   

   They are the bodies of the Champions of the Gods cursed with a corrupted version of immortality by Maximillian. He and his friends of the God Breakers faction would slay them over and over again to mock the Gods themselves. They were the first creatures to be Soul Bound to the Great Engine and are immortal as long as they remain here.

4. Is there a way to track people who was or are connected to the power grid/core? With that we can at least track max
   
   

   Once Soul Bound to the Core, there are spells that can locate others (such as the Scrying spell) and it will amplify its effect.

5. What is the ‘standard calendar’ that we use now? / Why was it created? / What happened that made people start using it? / What is the origin of it? / Who created it?

6. Do you (the Arch Mage) know of the calendar we use now?
   
   

   No, I do not know the new calendar as I've been cut-off from the outside.

7. What is the ‘name’ of the calendar you spoke of? And do any of us have any idea or knowledge of this calendar, and if so how does it relate to the standard one?
   
   

   It is the calendar in use since the Magocracy has risen from the ashes of the Kingdom of Seolochlan, the great Archmage Consiliarius himself had it commissioned to mark the start of a new era. The era of Arcane Power known as the Age of Wonder.

8. Have you known the Kingdom of Theresia and or the Empire of Morea in your lifetime? And if so, how long had they existed for when the ritual went wrong? And also, do we know as PC’s how old the Kingdom and the Empire are?
   
   

   I.. Do not know of these kingdoms, I fear I have forgotten much since the centuries of my imprisonment. I remember the Empire of the Sun where I was born, the Delamician Empire across the sea to the south, the realm of the Eldarine where my mother was from and the lands of Light, Asha Vahishta... and the chaotic Free States across the ocean.

 

After questioning Atia the Yellow they go to the portal of the Archmage of Air, Nemetoria the White. Inside they see a Wasteland, barren and empty of life. In the center is a large black onyx sphinx.

 

 

Hiron checks the sphinx and sees there is writing on the side of the statue. Jock uses his spell to translate the language and the strange symbols light up.


 

Suicu finds chests with items in them. They find the right combination of items and offer it to the Sphinx and they get the name Nomos, the true name of the dead God Sebek.

 

They write the name of Nomos in the five clay tiles and the Sphinx starts to shake until it explodes in a rain of black onyx. The Archmage flies above the ground and starts casting a spell. Suicu tries to Counterspell the mage but she powers through and a wall of violent wind blows the party against the wall where they cannot move. They struggle through the winds and through arcane means Suicu jumps behind her breaks her hold on the spell.

 

After the last blow is struck the mage disappears in motes of light while the rest of the room is bathed in light until suddenly they find themselves outside again. Jock finds a pouch with a large diamond in it.

 

They return to Atia and bid her farewell as she releases her hold on the Core and her Soul turns into light. Suddenly they find themselves floating in a bright place filled with light and see the other planes of existence spread out before them. They sense they can connect to a Plane of their choice and draw power from it.

 

They wake up back in the chamber surrounding the broken magic circle seeing Deerix the Kobold standing over them. He tells they've been there for a month and Hiron launches into a medical investigation to check the health of the party, comparing it to his internal clock he deduces that they were dead for weeks and now resurrected somehow. Deerix tells them the Red Mage told him to take care of them and left on other business two weeks ago but left them a note:

Dear adventurers,
I hope you have survived the ordeal.
Couldn't stay to watch over you as I have urgent business to the south in the Empire of the Sun.

Come find me in the city of Marakuma.
