Frontier Session 28

Session 28: 27-07-2025

The party led by the raptor shaman sneaks into the serpent city with Suicu taking raven form and flying up with Jock. Seeing that the city is mostly deserted with some small groups of lizards and groups of Yuan-Ti. The large pyramid with the golden cobra on top dominates the skyline of the city and they see a few creatures on the steps.

Suicu flies around the structure and dives down seeing an opportunity for Jock to hop off and take out the Yuan-Ti on top of the pyramid. Landing on the cobra headed Yuan-Ti and grappling it but suddenly his wild magic enlarges him and turns him into a medium sized. He throws the creature off the pyramid.

Glee and Hiron saw the dive bombing happen earlier and dashed to catch up to join the fight. Glee using his jump pack to travel the last distance and starts to attack one of the guards at the bottom of the stairs. He scores several hits on the armored Yuan-Ti until eventually the armor cracks and he impales it on his sword and tosses the dead creature aside.

Hiron engages his bone-saw and starts cutting through the back of the plate armor on the other guard until he exposes its flesh. Then using his syringe with anesthetic putting it to sleep.

Suicu nimbly hops down to the middle section of the pyramid with his darkness moving with him and quickly kills the lightly armored fighter with his magic and the Kunai of Fire. Moving to the priest on the other side of the steps he attack him until near death. Suddenly the priest pulls out a dagger and screams to his god Zehir plunging it into his chest. Finishing an incantation with his last breath the gold statue on top of the pyramid shimmers with energy and transforms into a huge snakelike monster instead of a head there are six large snakes coming out of its neck.

It uses its magic to turn Jock into a snake who then slithers off to safety having been charmed by this creature. It quickly slithers down the steps with impossible speed and wraps itself around Glee crushing him with its immense snake body. The heads attack independently and bite down on the armored mech suite piercing it in places with its fangs delivering poison. Hiron approaches Glee and performs emergency surgery to keep him alive but gets overcome with a strange new sensation to his robotic brain. Fear. And he moves away from the creature to heal Suicu.

Suicu chases after Jock and attacks him with powerful blasts hoping to end his polymorphed state. Blasting him with powerful magics he pops back into his normal form. He takes a running jump and lands on top of one of the heads and grapples it to knock it unconscious. Suddenly his wild magic flares again and all the snake heads grow beards. Jumping to another head he gets hypnotized by its gaze and psychically compelled to drop down to the ground where it constricts him with its body.

Glee moves up and start cutting through the creature with his greatsword. With powerful swings he slashes chunks of the creature and keeps going until the creature is reduced to bloody chunks.

Having won the fight and being in relative safety they start looting the corpses and harvesting components from the dead carcass.
