Frontier Session 22

The party starts at the planning room in the New Halcyon Plantation when a messenger boy runs in holding a piece of paper. It says the governor has called for all able-bodied people to get conscripted and it is signed governor Hallowbinder. Lieutenant Jazra Olmanan asks the party to attack the zeppelin while her forces assault the town before the people can get pressed into service.

A lone woman arrives at the gate asking to see a party of adventurers who have information that she is looking for. A confused guard escorts her to the planning chamber and discusses with the Lieutenant on what to do with her. A letter of introduction of Diana Whitacre is produced and recommends the services of the seasoned Swashbuckler to the cause in exchange for access to the ships logs, former crew and any records remaining in town that might help her. Glee is suspicious of her but the party agrees to take her on the attack.

They take their captured Ornithopter and have their Kobold Artificers fly the smaller scout craft to drop a bomb on the defenses. Jock and Suicu sneak into the camp and scribe a glyph into the ground to set off once the attack starts. The smaller scout craft destroys the gate with its bomb and the larger launches a devastating barrage of rockets on the anti-air defenses taking a section of the wall out as well.

The Ornithopter is heavily damaged but makes it alongside the zeppelin's bridge and Suicu uses his magic to teleport them inside. A surprised crew turns immediately on the attack with a large cannon hanging from the ceiling firing gas canisters at the party. Two large heavily armored partly mechanised soldiers attack and Glee is knocked out by a flurry of armored fists but not before covering the cannon and several officers in webs of glue restraining them. Suicu uses his magic to fry some of the soldiers with lightning and kills the governor in the attack. Jock flying into a rage with his chaotic magic causing plants to grow in the area and weird floating creatures. He knocks out the two armored soldier while Diana snipes from rear with her bow before closing in and stabbing one through the shoulder. The fight ends with one of the pilots surrendering to Suicu.
