Electricity

Experiments with alternative power sources have led to the discovery of electricity, the power of lightning itself! First discovered by the Gnome Artificer Daelyx Gumbladder, in 412 AS, when he tried to capture lightning in a bottle. He observed that lightning would travel far down copper pipes and after some experiments with fine copper wire he found that he could make it travel far distances.

Soon batteries and crystals were developed to store this power and discoveries enabled steam engines to produce this new force. Practical applications started with electric lights and magnets. Soon electric engines and weaponry using electrical shocks emerged.
