Miganese

The Miganese people are ones who have struggled to survive in a strange and harsh world, and have faced the various challenges of the Room for untold generations. From within an ancient fortress they arose and built one of the few great powers of the Room, facing any threat that tried to break this mighty people. Untold generations have toiled away within the old Kingdom of Mig.

Culture

Culture and cultural heritage

Miganese cultures focuses almost exclusively on the survival of the entire ethnic group, with no sacrifice to great to ensure Mig survives. All Miganese wish only to serve their greater family, and believe that whatever they do, be it fighting in battle or working in the mines, must be done with all one's strength of will and character. They do not appreciate weakness and laziness, and those who are sick, infirm, and old, if they have no purpose, are only seen as a burden upon society. Thus, they willingly release themselves, flinging themselves into the Shroud, as a sacrifice for the others.

Shared customary codes and values

The Miganese value survival above all else, and believe everyone must serve to prevent total calamity and collapse of their society. Everyone, from the greatest of kings to the lowest of workers, is expected to do something to support the group, and sharing resources is common. Keeping anything for yourself is seen as selfish and dishonorable. All Miganese expect a hard life but willingly except that, and have a deep sense of community.

Art & Architecture

The foundations of Miganese architecture is based on the original structure they find themselves in. The great fortress all Miganese live in is straight and stony, and the Miganese have little in the purpose of art itself. Anything they built has a purpose and is very practical. Fortifications are constructed straight and tall, buildings and homes are carved simply and efficiently, and any materials the Miganese use is designed to last.

Common Taboos

The Miganese have a great obsession with purity. While not necessarily believing themselves superior to other races, the Miganese believe they have a particular destiny to maintain balance in the Room. They do not dare to intermix or mingle with other cultures and peoples. Even when they conquer the Titan Fields, the Miganese maintain a degree of separateness. Those they have conquered serve under them, but are not raped by the Miganese, who would consider any such offspring a threat to their racial purity.
