Bloody Mary

Bloody Mary

Bloody Mary is the ever-watchful, fiercely loyal protector of the Fractured Princess, a spectral figure bound to the world of reflections. She dwells within every mirror, lurking just beyond the glass, her presence a shiver at the edge of vision, a fleeting shadow in the silvery depths. Bloody Mary’s form is both haunting and beautiful—a tall, lean figure draped in flowing, tattered black, with streaks of deep crimson that look like splashes of blood frozen in motion. Her hair falls wild and dark around her face, partially concealing hollow, burning eyes that seem to pierce through the veil between worlds. Mary serves the Fractured Princess and her loyalty is to her alone, rather than that of the Court of Shattered Mirrors.   Mary’s face is a fractured mask, mirroring the Fractured Princess whom she serves. Veins of red, like cracks in old porcelain, spread across her skin, and her movements are fluid yet jagged, as if she were shifting within the broken surface of a shattered mirror. When she moves, it is with an eerie grace, and the faint sound of glass cracking can be heard—a soft, ominous reminder of the fragility between her world and the mortal one. Her hands are long and claw-like, cold and deadly, ready to reach out and pull those who summon her into the mirror realm, a place of distorted reflections and half-heard whispers.   When the Fractured Princess calls her name three time, Mary appears instantly, a specter of unfathomable devotion, her ferocity tempered by an almost maternal protectiveness. To the Princess, she is gentle, vigilant, and unwavering in her loyalty, her very existence dedicated to shielding her from harm. Mary’s eyes soften when she sees the Princess, and her voice, which is usually a rasping whisper like scraping glass, becomes gentle and almost melodic, a reflection of her undying loyalty.   However, for those who summon her through the reckless invocation of her name—spoken thrice in front of a mirror—she is a vengeful and bloodthirsty wraith. When called by strangers, Bloody Mary emerges with a slow, spine-chilling grace, her face twisted with malice, and her eyes dark with the promise of violence. She is known to toy with those who summon her, drawing out their fear, appearing just at the edges of the mirror, close enough to see yet never fully there. Her voice becomes a chilling whisper, calling back to them in mocking tones, filling the room with an unnatural coldness.   If her summoner does not flee, she may lash out, her hand reaching through the mirror like a blade of icy glass, cutting and slashing with unnatural strength. For those unlucky enough to meet her gaze, there are tales of minds broken by the terror that lurks within her eyes—dark secrets of the mirror realm, twisted reflections, and the fractured reality she inhabits.   Bloody Mary is more than a protector; she is the vengeance and wrath of the mirror itself, a being that has merged with every polished surface and reflective glint. She serves only the Fractured Princess willingly, her loyalty absolute. For any others, she is a force of dread, her beauty and malice intertwined, waiting silently in every mirror until the day her name is uttered, and her spectral wrath is unleashed.
