Mother of Crows

(a.k.a. Lady of Feathers, Harbinger of Twilight)

The Mother of Crows is an ancient and mysterious Archfae who has long been a presence in the Wildlands, a realm where nature and magic intertwine unpredictably. Her true age is unknown, and some claim she predates the Faewild itself. Known for her association with crows and ravens, she is often seen as an omen of change, transformation, and endings.

Despite her enigmatic nature, she is revered by some and feared by many for her power over life and death. The Mother of Crows is neither wholly malevolent nor benevolent, her motives and goals veiled in darkness. Those who seek her out often do so at great risk, for her boons come with a price, and her wrath is said to bring about inescapable ruin.

Personality Characteristics

Motivation

The Mother of Crows remains a mystery to most. She is aloof and distant, rarely engaging with the politics of other fae courts, and never engaging with mrotal politics. Her decisions and actions are often driven by her own inscrutable sense of balance between life and death. Some believe she seeks to maintain equilibrium in the natural world, while others think she is a harbinger of its end.

While not overtly cruel, she is known to be calculating and indifferent to mortal concerns. Her followers often adopt a fatalistic worldview, believing that all life must eventually return to the crows.
