Niederlhünen is culturally closer to Mittenbergh than to Lhünen proper, though Niederlhünen has been loyal to the Lhünish Grand Dukes for as long as anyone has cared to write down the histories. That said, of all Lhünish provinces, it was Niederlhünen that attempted to position itself for maximum benefit from the new order of things; Niederlhünen is loyal to the Crown, hoping to be granted naval contracts and charters in return.
