Civil action
Theklas Bloodcloak, a tiefling sorcerer and local lord known for his inventive cruelty, is murdered. Having committed enough atrocities against the locals, they rebel, ending in his death.
**Relevant to the Threat of Theklas campaign.
Theklas was born into power, both political and magical, and his parents did little to curb his expression of that power. As he grew, his harmless pranks became more and more dangerous, until he was recognised as a talented sadist with a touch for the theatrical. Over time this inclination towards torture gained him the eye of a blacksmith, after having kidnapped and tortured his wife. She escaped, only to die from her wounds at his door. This spurred said blacksmith into starting a revolution, and overthrowing the current political regime, specifically to get at Theklas, killing him. The revolution was successful, but those involved found their lives swiftly cut short. No one would allow common peasants to dictate their terms to noble blood and live.
