Political event

The city of Taladren is in uproar, as their current MageKing has died. Families start vying for power, making backroom deals to position themselves as the new ruler

The Greenspheres have turned black above the palace, unsettling the populace. Many are confused by what this means, the last occurrence happening centuries before.   Announcements go out. Town criers from every corner, posters go up. The MageKing is dead. The most coveted seat in all Taladren is vacant, and more importantly, available to the heads of the 100 Families of Jacoit.   Immediately, political manoeuvres, back alley deals, betrayals and subterfuge is happening all over the capitol. Loyalties are tested. New allegiances are made. The great game has begun, with the greatest prize on the table - ruler-ship of all.
