Session 7: Prison Break Report

General Summary

The party is brought before one of the leaders of the camp and wearers of purple Frulam Mondath who questioned the group on who they are and why they're there.
Rahl hit on her, seemingly having some effect, but was taken back with the rest of the prisoners while she continued to question the others.
Tanaelia took initiative to talk to her and convinced her that they weren't spies, but rather just came into the camp because Rahl wanted a rematch with the half-blue dragon and they were there to support him and keep him alive.
Frulam then sent them off to the prisoner's tent. When asked she promises them that they won't be there as prisoners for more than one night...
The party started preparations to break free in the morning and eventually started to take a rest.
As they fall asleep they are woken by Leosin who wakes them up and suggests they get moving before tossing them a knife.
They freed the prisoners and snuck over to collect their stuff, finding that most of their coin was missing.
The party noticed that the camp seemed to be packing up and getting ready to move.
Lorilla snuck over and put a personal letter of Tanaelia's into one of the boxes being packed away by the cultists.
Leosin cast pass without a trace to help the party escape and then the party then headed up a rope that he dropped down from the cliff to the south to give them an exit that wouldn't necessitate them sneaking back through camp. They helped up all the freed civilians, many of whom were looking worse for wear.
Getting to the top and traveling a while through the rough terrain they realized that they were still too close to comfort and decided to march through the night to try and get to a safer location for resting. Seeing a particularly haggard elderly man struggling to keep up, Tanaelia healed him, helping him feel much better. Mitzu shapeshifted into a draft horse for him and another of the more tired people to ease their burden.
The party continued marching on until just after noon and seeing that they still had a way to go decided to take a chance and bed down for a rest, hoping to not get found by the cultists.

As they began to get settled in to camp, Lorilla asked about an old friend finding out that she was not in the current group, but may have either been one who joined the cultists to better her situation, or been taken up north with a few of the other healthier prisoners.
Leosin said that he was going to need to leave soon to warn an old acquaintance of his in Elturel, a paladin of Torm named Ontharr Frume. He asked the party go back to the camp after they had a chance to rest up and recover and scout it out and let him know if the cultists are preparing to conduct another raid, or if any other major change happens, or anything substantial is carried into or out of the cave. In addition, if they are able to get into the camp or the cave--without being caught--that would be the ideal way to gather more detailed information.
He offered 150 gp apiece, to which the party agreed fairly quickly. He told them to find him in Elturel afterward to report and collect their pay, but if he wasn't there to talk to Ontharr instead who would pay them.
The party had a philosophical discussion on the morality of killing dragons and nature vs nurture and similar as well as the relative good and bad characteristics of some characters who are now famous for saving Elturel.
