Session 3: Saving the Mill and possibly explosive flour? Report
General Summary
The session started out with the party getting to know each other a bit better and chatting a bit about family and history both in the keep and on their way to the mill. They head out "stealthily" to defend the mill that the raiders are getting ready to burn down. When they arrive they found some kobolds and one cultist out front getting ready to light the place up. Rahl starts to rush for the fight but someone (Nivek, Taneaelia? I don't remember) stops him so that they can scope it out first. Lorilla and Tanaelia with a boost up from Jameak climb up on the roof of the nearby smithy for a better vantage and attack possition.
A fight ensues with kobolds and cultist quickly noticing the party. A few attack from a distance at first while others rush in to melee range. The Kobolds use their slings and then hide. Once the party gets close they see that there are more raiders hiding in the mill ready to ambush whoever comes to defend it. The fight becomes more difficult with Rahl briefly going down and being raised back by Tanaelia, but the party perservers and takes out the large group without too much trouble. Mitzu wildshapes into a constrictor snake and restrains a raider and uses his totem to protect the party. Rahl stabs, punches and kicks them into submission. Jameak charges in with divine fury and smites them into the next life and offers needed healing. Tanaelia tolls the bell for them on the end of their life and passes out divine healing. Lorilla peppers them with crossbow bolts and does her best firefighter impression stealing wool blankets to wet and smother the fire. In the middle of all this an old acquaintance Nettelis Miller shows up riding his drake companion Oscar and "save the day" causing the only significant fire and undetermined structural damage.
The fight ends with a mace brought up and then back down with a divine smite from Jameak, annihilating the final raider. Netellis quickly heads off to "find the next group in need of saving."
