Session 12: Searching for dragon eggs Report

The group had a quick look around Frulam's former quarters and then look down the hole in the floor. Tanaelia hears what sounds like the distant shuffling of feet and the murmurs of voices coming from below.
Mitzu spends 10 minutes casting find familiar and summons up a bat familiar who goes and takes a look down the tunnel.
Through the familiar, Mitzu saw a chamber that has been enlarged and reshaped into a large room with smooth and polished floors and stalactites and stalagmites polished into gleaming columns. Every surface glistens with moisture, and the air is warm and humid. The flat walls of the chamber are decorated with shallow abstract carvings of dragons. Dragons' tails coil into intricate patterns and knots that flow across the walls. The creature portrayed in the north west corner stands out: a five-headed dragon, rising from an erupting volcano. Other dragons, which seem dwarfed by the five-headed monstrosity, flock to its side. A small, wooden chest with silver and mother-of pearl inlays sits on the floor in the corner, in front of the monstrous dragon carving. Flying a bit further on the bat sees some figures coming down the corridor including the half-blue-dragon Langdedrosa Cyanwrath who fought Rahl days earlier and left him scarred. The bat was shoed off by Langdedrosa further up the corridor and near a room with some Kobolds.
Mitzu told the bat to stay there and came back to his senses to let the group know what he saw. He then wandered off around the corner to rummage through the chests next to the bed in the nearby alcove while the rest of the team discusses what to do next.
Mitzu finds some clothes in the chests including one of them containing a set of dragon cultist regalia including purple robes and a ceremonial dagger.
The rest of the group decides to go for it and sneak down the hole and attack the group of cultists including Langdedrosa. Rahl goes down first folowed by Durgat and kicking things off with a bang running up to Cyanwrath and attacking him.
A tough fight ensues with Cyanwrath blasting his lightning breath and swinging his greatswords while the berserkers recklessly attacking with great axes. Mitzu briefly went down, but was brought back up by Tanaelia. Durgat took most of the hits and deflected some with a mystical shield, and briefly went down but was brought back up by a healing word from Mitzu. Mitzu went down again, but with a burst of adrenaline he stood back up. (Natural 20!)
After the fight the group decides to take a long rest, then decides they should take a peak down the passageway to the east. Inside they find it opens up to a large room with a ledge along the top and that it decends into a huge lower area to the south. The air is warm and humid and the sound of dripping water echoes continuously.
Peaking a bit deeper in Jameak and Tanaelia hear the sounds of breathing echoing around room. Due to the echos it's impossible to tell where sounds in this room originate, but a motion draws their eyes as what seems to be a large scaly tale briefly peaks out from behind one of the stalactites.
Deciding that they are too hurt and exhausted for another fight at the moment, the group decides to head out and find a place for a long rest, but before they leave they remember the chest in the shrine area and decide to take a look inside before leaving.
Finding it locked they briefly consider smashing it open before remembering that Lorilla might be able to pick the lock.
Here we leave it for next session. Also worth noting is that Rahl decided to loot Cyanwrath and take his splint armor and fancy clothing. Rahl picks up his greatsword before handing it to Jameak saying "You deserve this." They also ripped off his horn with plans to make it into a dagger in the future.
