A concept for an adventure set on the world of Chee

Despite their apparent philosophical conflict with the abstemious outlook of the world's inhabitants, the hospitality zones of Chee, sumptuous resorts catering to offworld visitors, are an accepted part of the landscape—and a welcome source of income. Even so, one of the hospitality zones seems lately to have been taking things too far—locals living nearby have started to complain about the absurdly high levels of noise its celebrations have been making, disturbing sleep and causing headaches for great distances away.

Should the PCs visit the hospitality zone to do something about the matter, they'll find that the owners of the resort are not responsible for the noise—and indeed are as upset by it as the nearby residents, if not more so. Inside the resort, the racket is positively deafening, and the PCs may want ways to plug their ears or otherwise shut off the noise if they want to operate in relative comfort. The actual culprit turns out to be a group of cultists worshiping one of the Qadri, the chaotic gods who are always causing trouble supposedly in the interest of preventing complacency. Perhaps the Qadrites want to stir up a conflict between the churches of Eed and Faghllal—or perhaps they have some other purpose in mind.
