Summer Camp 2024
I made it to Copper!
If you read my "Pledge-ish", you'll see that I wasn't really expecting to do much for Summer Camp this year. But I'm a competitive person (even if I'm not actually competing against anyone) and I like achieving external goals. Like getting a shiny badge for a certain number of articles. When I wrote my Pledge-ish I was thinking about my Practise Novel, but I ended up doing all the prompts for Private World N instead, and made much more progress on it than I did back with the Cabinet of Curiosities challenge. Many of the prompts really were quite good for it; I had an article concept lined up for the protective tech prompt and another for the myth/legend/conspiracy theory believed to be true prompt (Force fields and Gerthyon the dragon respectively). I also considered turning my Moakandroid stub into the hybrid species prompt and creating some much-needed side characters for the character prompts (did anyone make the storyteller a con artist? I thought about doing that ... probably because I've been binging Hustle ...) But ideas alone aren't enough for 300 words, so those ones didn't make it to the finish line.Articles
