The Curtain

The Curtain is the name given by Practitioners to the thin veil between the "Real world" and the supernatural. it is not a literal veil, it is believed to either be a magical fog over everything which forces mortal humans to see everything supernatural as if it were perfectly ordinary.   Others believe its a sort of attempt from the human brain to keep the knowledge from destroying their psyche.   whatever the case, sometimes the Veil isn't able to protect someone, and that is when they wake up to true reality.   There are two ways to force someone to "wake up." The first way (and the simplest) is to just tell them the truth. If a person is shown the reality of the situation in this way, the world holds the truth-teller as responsible for this individual, your karma is theirs and vice versa.   The other way, is to expose them to so much supernatural stuff that they have no choice but to accept its existence. This frees you from responsibility, but usually causes a lot of trauma to the person exposed in such a way.
