S4E2: Kan Gha Roo's Revenge
WIth City of Stat freed from the timestop curse, Cieth visits a cleric of Pelor who communes with his deity to see if Pelor will interceed on Cieth's behalf. Pelor brings the case before Erebus, Judge of the Dead, but after judging Raven, the Trickster's case, rules it to be fair. Wolf, the Faithful, has an offer for Cieth, but he would have to go to Packton to get the Lupus Animarum to contact Wolf. Cieth gathers his retainers, Dave, the Eager, Wanda, the Fun One, and Keli, the Bold and tells them that he is not a fit role model and they can leave, but they all turn him down and want to stick with him.
Before they leave, Tiki and Keli check on the townspeople. Tiki meets a man named Bart who was complaining of headaches after the time curse was lifted, and they believe that one of the strange entities was feeding on him. Unfortunately, none of them really have medical knowledge, nor do they really have the knowledge they'd need about extradimensional entities to really know what else to do.
As such, they leave for Packton. Jack, Skark and Tiki collect some bones on the way, and Jack sells one to a villager. He plays some Stabby Dice, with a werewolf but the game ends in a draw.
Cieth finds the Lupus Animarum, who tells him to come to the ritual that night. Tiki finds Lupe and tries to figure out how to add him to her growing list of friends by making him summonable.
They go to the ritual that night, held in the tavern (small town, it acts as tavern, town hall, and church) and Cieth speaks with Wolf, who offers to make him into a Wolf/Owlfolk hybrid instead of Human/Owlfolk. Cieth accepts, somewhat reluctantly.
The group then heads back to Otakou. Before they get there, Cieth and Jack both undergo their lycanthropic transformations under the full moon. Both embrace their new forms and gain control over the transformations. Raven appears to Jack and offers to remove it entirely, because he passed the test, but Jack decides to keep it now that he has control.
The group then sailed to the island that Redfoot the Relentless wanted them to go to to trade The Time Machine for 20,000 gold. Redfoot dropped a bag of gold at their feet and destroyed the machine, but at the same time as Skark had noticed someone hiding behind rocks, Redfoot disappeared before they could engage with him further.
From their hiding spots, Kan Gha Roo and Alyssa attacked the crew with their bandit underlings. Alyssa was now some kind of vampire. After a brutal fight, Kan Gha Roo knew he was outmatched and escaped, while Alyssa's corpse turned into a fine mist. The group captured the two remaining bandits, and while one refused to give up the location of Kan Gha Roo's camp, the other was bribable.
Once they got back to the boat, Redfoot possessed Sam once more, and apologized for what had transpired, but he had had a prior deal with Kan Gha Roo. Now that that business was finished, he was willing to help Jack find a way to contact Valhalla, but left before anything further could be elaborated.
