March recap

This girl was on fire! Okay, maybe not compared to some other writers here, who wrote an article every day and were the reason why my notifications just won't drop, but at least compared to my own February results. Let's take a look together on what I have achieved this month.   The first thing I published this month was my hub-article for the 45-day "Desserts of Devotion" challenge I'm currently hosting. This challenge is for all the sweet tooth among you and will continue for almost three more weeks. There are badges up for grabs, so feel free to share some divine recipes and their stories with the community.   The next article I wrote was "The Gods' Isles of Vaelora". This one is an explanation on how and where the domain of Mirintha's deities is located. It took me a while to figure out how I really want it to be but, thanks to the German community, in the end I found the right way for my world. I spent most time on generating the pictures of each God Isle, but I think it was worth it.   I also wrote an article about a new species on Mirintha. A small little bird called Blue Fairy. It is a wonderful songbird that is connected to the goddess of the arts by a little myth that might or might not be true, but you'd have to read the article yourself to find out more. I wanted to honour a member of our community with this species, so the name is indeed no coincidence.   Of course I had to participate in the March 12in12 challenge as well. Especially, as the prompt this time was food. And as you might be able to guess from my own challenge, I'm really into food. So I thought a long while what to write about and ended up with a German dish that I used for Mirintha's version of Highelves. It also contains the history of this dish, that almost lead to the extinction of the Valoperi and tought them an important lesson.   I did something different next. Which is an article about some of the rules of the TTRPG system that I want to use for campaigns within Mirintha. This article is only the first of several to come and is supposed to be an entrance article to the whole system. Therefore, I chose to make it about the character creation.   As you might remember, last month I wrote an article about Kära, my goddess of love. I mentioned her twin brother Mirtis in this article. And this month I was able to finish the article about him. At the start it all went really well, but then suddenly I wasn't making any progress on that one and had to pause for a while. But all is well that ends well.   On the last day of March I finished an article that I started a while ago. It's a bird again, but a very different one. And it is an essential part of one of Mirintha's ethnicities, that I hopefully will elaborate on further in April. So stay tuned for more information about the Qataban and enjoy this introduction to the giant Tyrdal. And the name here is no coincidence as well.   Funny enough, five out of seven articles didn't bring my world that much forward to being ready for a TTRPG campaign. And one of the remaining two was just about rules and not about real content. So there is still way too much to write about and once again I got distracted by other things. And on that terrible disappointment I will go back to work and will try to right about at least one god and one ethnicity in April. Wish me luck!
