Zamurath

Zamurath was raised among the docks and warehouses, and counting rooms in the city of Ashan. He learned to count and add numbers before letters by watching her mother work overseeing contracts and tariffs. When old enough, he joined some of the tradeships where he learned prayers that were whispered to sea-gods before setting off.   He made plenty of enemies among the merchants of Ashan when he, as a relatively young man, struck gold in the shape of securing a valuable contract with both the Empire of Dercia and Principality of Clifia during one of their latest skirmishes, making sure that he earned gold from both sides without the other knowing it, it also meant that he could pass information to each side of where the other sides transportships where, but making sur that none of his ships were in the area.    Like so many of his profession, he believes that information are just as valuable or even more so than gold, loyal to contracts he has signed and will do what he can to fulfill them. Zamurath is very devout in private, where he honors the Kareshi gods. Before setting off on a journey, he will offer oil to the lady of currents, something he will do privately in a secluded place on the beach, tending to distrust loud priests and those who, according to him, show a bit too much piety in public.   Due to his upbringing and his trading trips, he has become fluent in four languages and has a passable understanding of Crienic. Likewise, he learned from his mother how to disguise bribes as gifts, ensuring that his merchant guild enjoys slightly lower tariffs compared to others. Having absolutely no skills in fighting, he has two hired guards who follow him around, especially when walking around his hometown.
