Thaléthri

The Thaléthri is a group of people centred on the island of Pelassar and the surrounding islands. They are known for being a strong seafaring people, with their merchants being amoung some of the most daring ones, more willing to sail through rough weather where others might choose to stay in harbour until better weather.   The art of the Thaléthri consists of elaborately decorated pottery, seals and figurines, with the figurines being one of the current things aristocrats in Pearlhal seek to get their hands on and display in their houses. The motives on their pottery and seals often include nature and rituals.   Thaléthri religious practices consist of places of worship located on mountain peaks and caves, with a clear distinction between which gods are worshipped there, with the sanctuaries on the mountain peaks dedicated to the deities in the sky and the reverse for those in the caves, with them worshipping the deities of the underworld. One of the unique things about the Thaléthri religion is that it is open to worshipping other deities, believing that two deities for one thing is better than only one.

Architecture

The Thaléthri is known for their multistory settlements that from the outside looks like one big building, but on the inside is centered around a central markedplace and from there corridors spread out connecting room where shops are located as well as storage rooms and mixed inbetween these are the rooms where the inhabitants of the settlement live, each family have one room, the size depending on their social status.   Each settlement is distinct from the others, and while the general layout, with a marked centre, is common, each settlement follows its own development from there. The design of the settlements also means that outsiders have a hard time navigating their way on their own, so outsiders are often escorted by some of the locals.
