Sviŋa language

Sviŋa language is a mostly unknown language to the population of Mirateia.   It was spoken in one of the southeren provinces of the Ancient Empire and was the main recruiting grounds for the empires armies, so as the empire spread out over the continent, the language of the province spread with it and as more of the newly conqoured populations began to enter the empires armies, they learned the language and from there the Sviŋa language influenced the local languages, introducing several loanwords.   As the empire began to crumble and soon enough collapsed, the empire's armies were redrawn back to defend the core, or disbanded as it could no longer maintain such large forces, the influence of the empire and the language of its armies remained in the now free areas and several idioms have been maintained and integrated in the native languages.   One of the idioms that seems to enjoy the most widespread use by populations outside the Ancient Empires Hearthland is "Sacsum Tipac", which can roughly be translated into Dercian as a Falcon does not catch bugs, and is often used when someone feels a task is beneath them. Another popular one are "irom oten", and roughly translates into that each are on their own and that each are their own person.   Today the idioms of the Sviŋa language are slowly being replaced by those introduced by Dercian at least in the territories now covered by the Empire of Dercia but the Sviŋa language idioms are still going strong in the Principality of Clifia were a derived version are still being spoken in some remote eastern villages.

I love 'a falcon does not catch bugs' as an idiom.
