Sunstones

The Sunstone is a large natural forming rock, that is easy to mine and break into smaller pieces.   The mines producing Sunstones will also produce Tamine although not in as pure quality as pure Tamine mines.   A Sunstone will be able to give light back to a room for between a month and a year depending on the quality of the stone and how often the stone is used, it's possible to extend the lifespan of a Sunstone by when not needed, covering it with a bag so it will not absorb light.   Sunstones are beside the usage of nobles and such, also used by the large temples so their users can pray and worship even during the night. The temples also use stones to light up the temples so they are visible during the night when the rest of the city will be covered in darkness.

Reusability & Recycling

Sunstones, when their ability to absorb light has been reduced to an amount that is no longer usable will in general be broken into smaller pieces that can then be sold as jewellery that will still give a bit of light during the dark.

Utility

Sunstones are used by people to light up their houses, during the day the stone will absorb sunlight and will then release it back when it has absorbed all it can.

Social Impact

While the stones are mainly available to nobles and merchants, the stones made it possible to make bigger houses without the house being dark even during the day.
Access & Availability
The sunstones are available mainly to the nobles and rich merchants due to the high price of the stone.
Complexity
