Sleeping foe

Deep in the desert among the shifting white sands of the Karaos desert lies a place that was once the place of a desert tribe whose name have long been erased from records and forgotten.   Among the caravaners and desert tribes that call the place home, there are a tale that refuses to die out, it tell about a place under the sand, called the Tombs of the Nameless, its a place were its said that an enemy of the desert tribes have been buried alive, sealed by a combined effort between mages and the gods themself, its said that the enemy refused to die and that it lies beneath the sand, sleeping, waiting for something or someone to wake it up.   Recently, stories have emerged about a place where the shifting of the dunes has revealed some ancient ruins, other stories say that breating have been heard coming from beneath the ruins, local rulers have sent patrols to find out what the locals are talking about, but most of these patrols have not returned, some of the patrols have been found with the soldiers having been drained into dried husks.   Some of the stories from the desert have reached Pearlhal where the story about the ruins and the sound of breathing is being told under the name of the "Breathless foe or the Sleeping foe"   There are plenty of theories about what these ruins in the desert are, some scholars believe they are connected to a hole in the records they believe belong to a tribe that was erased from the surface and the records, others believe that they are ruins from the Ancient Empire and it was a place where they did their magical experiments, one of the more unbelievable theories say that the breathing is an ancient dragon sleeping under the sand.
