Pocketses

Pocketses are the name given to some of the tiny members of the fae, not surprisingly derived from their small size, which allows them to fit into most pockets.   The Pocketses belong to the fae, but while the regular fae may, from time to time, harm mortals, like kidnapping them into the fae realm or stealing their lifeforce in other ways, the Pocketses will be happy enough just pranking the mortals and, through that way, get their entertainment without killing any mortals in the process, they have no trouble making pranks that harm mortals to a certain degree.   One of the reasons that name knows the Pocketses is that throughout history, they have been known to sometimes find a mortal, typically a human, and form a relationship with the human and then take up residence in said human's pockets and then live their for the rest of the humans life, often leading them into weird and crazy situations and getting a kick out of watching their human trying to get out of what ever situation the Pocketses have put them into. One of the weird but interesting abilities that the Pocketses have is the ability that when biting someone, they can erase a single, fleeting memory. It's often used playfully, but it has some strange consequences if a person is bitten repeatedly.   While it can rapidly increase the trouble a human experiences if a Pocketses chooses to settle in their pocket, its generally viewd as a sign of good luck.   The Pocketses range in their looks, but they tend to be very colourful. The major divide within the Pocketses can be found in a north-south divide, with the northern Pocketses having a very brightly coloured hair. In contrast, the southern Pocketses have brightly coloured feathers.   There is a rare, most believe its just a myth among travellers, but some stories tell about a version of the pocketses that instead of feasting on the joy and similar feelings when pranking mortals, this other version instead feed on sorrow or just light irritation, like when a merchant are caught on the road and a downpour catches them offhand, then the stories tell about a small pocketses perched on their boot or shoulder, glowing faintly, and its not to comfort the mortal, its to taste on the feelings being expressed as if it was a fine wine.
