Obicis rot

Obicis rot was first found in the Shamath swamps, a large swamp known for its size. The disease was found when a travel party had come back from the swamp after having completed a task by one of the local guilds, a partymember fell ill shortly after and after a few days the symptoms began to manifest, due to the infection being unknown to the public at this point, there were no cure and the partymember passed away after a week.   As the disease began to spread, more knowledge began to become known and was first believed to be a new deadly disease, it became known that the disease wasnt always deadly, of course, there would be a few that didnt make it through, but the majority of the infected did. for those that was infected and survived, the blindness that came as a result of the disease could only be treated by healing magic, if the infected met with a healer during the earlier stages of the disease, then they could be treated with the application of ointments made from flowers that had healing proberties, the ointment would be placed on the eyes over several hours so was most of the time applied just before the patient went to sleep. Following the appliance of these ointments over three days and in most cases the disease would have been cured.   Dispite the name, the disease have nothing to due with rot, patients eyes just simply stops working, but the name Obicis rot stuck because the first infected caught it in the swamp.
