Estari collegium

The Estari collegium is one of the most ancient guilds in Pearlhal, its said that it was first formed some time before even the formation of the Dercian Republic. It's said that the first members of the guild banded together to make sure that their group could better help each other when it came to rent or making sure all could maintain a decent way of life.   Over the centuries, the Estari collegium has developed into quite the powerhouse when it comes to domestic politics within Pearlhal. Over the years, they expanded their operations to include both a college to educate their members' children, but they also run several soup kitchens around the capital city, making sure that the population are kept out of starvation even in times when there are shortages. Likewise they maintain fountains ensuring clean water to the people and shelter and clothing for homeless.   The Estari collegium today operates as an independent organisation but maintains strong ties with different temples all over the city as well as the Royal Palace of Dercia and has slowly evolved towards a guild structure with ranks, uniforms and its own set of rules.   As the rule of Pearlhal expanded during the First unification war and Second unification war the Estari collegium followed in the wake of the legions, setting up camps for the sick and injured to be treated, no matter which side of the conflict they had fought on.
Ranks:
Hearthkeepers: Senior members who run the local soup kitchens
Stewpots: cooks, healers, and people manage the supply lines.
Ashhands: orphans, beggars or similar who help in the kitchens in return for food/shelther.
