Bulla
Bulla is the name given to the process behind the creation of medicine that can help prevent the onset of the sickness known as decay.
Not much is known about the Bulla process, as it's a closely guarded secret known only to a small group of alchemists who tend to operate in the darkness beneath the capital's sewers. The medicine has been around for centuries, though, and according to reports gathered by medics and clerics over the years, scholars believe that the secret society of alchemists is still working on perfecting the technology of making their product.
The sickness that the Bulla process was created to help prevent has likewise mutated over the years so that at current times, in most cases of patients with the illness, the medicine can't help cure the sickness; it can at best delay it.
Several attempts to make the alchemists share their techology have failed.
Utility
The medicine consists of a sickly green coloured powder that are mixed in with tea or other drinks, preferable warm drinks.
Social Impact
The impact the Bulla process and the medicine that are a result of the process have had and still have an impact on society a lot many more people are able to live on with the sickness for some time, some times its only a few more months, other times it's several decades.
At the same time, it helps stop the spread of the sickness.
Access & Availability
Its fairly widespread, although the further from Pearlhal the more sparse the amount of medicine is as the Bulla process only takes place in the capital.
Complexity
Outside of the alchemists making it, its unknown how comples the Bulla process is, but scholars have theorised that due to the ever changing aspect of the sickness, the complexity are similarily high.
Does it at least taste semi-okay?
