Broth-Cups with Meat Chunks

In the colder regions of the continent, Broth-Cups with Meat Chunks can be found sold on many street corners, both as a way to get an easy hot meal but also as a way to get some warmth into the body and warm ones hands on the cup.   the cup, typically made out of cheap clay that are then fulled with hot, savory broth, thickened slghtly with fat and starch. The cups contain irregular chunks of meat and scraps. The meal is not meant to be pretty or elegant, only to be warming, filling, and easy to get one's hands on.   They are extreamly cheap nad affordable even to the poorest commoner, often sold for just one or two Mark or sometimes even handed out for free. The portion size is not the biggest, small to medium-sized cup, but they are surprisingly filling for their size. They can be found on most street corners near markets, outside bathhouses, or if the city have a city wall, then near the gates to the city where travelers often buy them as they leave the city.   Despite their low quality of ingredients, they are popular among the commoners, as they can be served instantly, ladled and handed over in moments; they are portable, so one can drink them while they move on with their day. Likewise, they provide warmth for both inside and hands.
"At least the broth was hot,"
- Saying in the poorer districts. meaning that the day wasnt a total loss.
It is considered food for the commoners, but is among those viewed as honest and practical; it's a food associated with servants, messengers, and night-watchmen as they move around the cities.

My comment about the coal-bites probably applies better here, but you know. I love this as a street food.

Heheh, I could see them being brought together in those cities where both are present :)
