Farnelis Academy of Mage Training
This is a school where young or up-and-coming mages come to truly harness their power. It was founded fairly recently and the headmaster is Prince Quint Farnelis. It has a very difficult application process so only the best of the best can learn to harness their skills at the Academy. Currently, there are only about 30 students, each matched with a personal trainer, a partner in the class, and split into 3 classes. The students live on campus and due to the small amount of them, they get to know each other pretty well. Unlike a lot of other parts of Miran, the Academy is quite diverse. You can have teachers from Vindr, but also classmates from Asoin. The majoraty of the teachers are elves though. One of those students is lucky enough to have Quint himself as his personal magic trainer.
Purpose / Function
Its purpose is to train magic users to be mages, and sometimes to harness their magic in other ways (sorcerer, warlock, wizard, enchanter).
Architecture
It is a large Romanesque revival building. It is made with Kanlanstone from the mines of Stenbrott. It has a clocktower and several large arch-shaped windows. It is also adorned with many Alfic designs ranging from depictions of the gods to just artistic depictions of sacred objects. It is larger than it looks from the front and holds the classrooms as well as the dormitories.
Defenses
There are many magically controlled cannons hidden around the school. There is also a shield that can be deployed if need be.
History
It is a fairly young building that was made so that Quint could focus on their passions: magic and teaching.
Tourism
People want to see the clocktower, because it is one of the most intracate in Miran. It shows the hour, minute, second, as well as the phase of Esnir's eye it is. They are also eager to see the students train their magic.
