Particulum

A material unique to Miramai. This metal is unique as Dust is infused and flows through the metal very simply. The metal forms these shifting microscopic channels of Dust which makes it perfect for enchanting objects. While it isn't impossible to enchant objects without Particulum. It's generally seen as a waste of time when even the smallest amount of Particulum will allow the item to take and hold an enchantment infinitely easier. A sword could be made entirely of steel, enchanting that steel blade could take months of work, repeating enchantments into the blade and slowly infusing it with the commanded Dust. Adding an ounce of Particulum somewhere in the design of the weapon will cut that time down to a few days. Or even just an hour during an Eclipse.

Particulum is also a primary ingredient in crafting Dust Vessels.

The metal is plentiful it seems, however locating it can be difficult. It tends to be mined from ruins scattered throughout Miramai. The easiest of these mines to find are located in Timoria, and it has become one of their major export with various other metals they pull from their mines.

Recycling Particulum is also a relatively easy process. Those capable of breaking down magic items in powerful forges are always left with the Particulum from the object as pure as when it was crafted.
