Ehriil
Ehriil is known as The Tidal Trade City. This nation is a single sprawling city that swims through the oceans of Miramai. The city was founded and run by traveling traders. For centuries Ehriil has moved through the oceans, stopping at strategic locations to maximize trade opportunities for the citizens of Ehriil. The city makes two loops around Miramai a year. It takes 125 days to complete the full circuit. 50 days of travel and 75 days at port.
The city's path maximizes its time at the various Eclipse Towers during Eclipses. Stationing there long enough to benefit from the Eclipses effect on Dust. The arrival of Ehriil in most regions is nearly as celebrated as the local Eclipse. The open trade of goods from across Miramai. Ehriil keeps good relations with all other nations. Due to Ehriil's neutrality, their visit means access to goods that rival nations specialize in. In times when Timoria was at odds with Veritan, Ehriil traders gave Veritan the chance to obtain Particulum for their various enchanting needs. Orix is able to trade some of their mechanical goods and in rare cases their Manufactured Generators in order to obtain Kentrid Dust Vessels and Idiir's more advanced techn.
The city is made of one primary section that leads the floating city. Along with several smaller sections that shift and trail behind the primary section of the city. The primary section is the bulk of the city, the edges of the city skirt dangerously close to the ocean as they float on the ocean's waves. Docks protrude from these edges where the trade ships are secured tightly. When overfilled with ships, they are tethered and towed along with the city. The middle and center of the city raises higher, looking over the rest of the city. The very center of the city are where higher end buildings and wealthier establishments are located. The ocean's movements are barely felt here where the wealthiest trade and network with one another. Between these two extremes are the various homes and shops of the bulk of Ehriilian Traders. The trailing sections of the city are the cheaper districts that can be a bit dangerous. All trade is welcome in Ehriil if you know where to look, the less acceptable trade is typically found in these trailing districts.
Frequently a shop will be shared by two or more traders who cycle out their time on Ehriil and traveling across the nations to acquire the goods they specialize in. Due to Ehriil being the center of trade for Miramai, exotic goods tend to be far more expensive than if you procured them from the source. However common goods tend to be much cheaper, as competition drives their prices lower. Purchasing a home or shop on Ehriil is nearly impossible, rent in turn is extremely expensive.
