"I swear before the Eight to guard their children -The Elemental Inquisition originates from the Great-Kingdom of Norume. Besides certain trade networks or scientific cooperations, it is one of the few organizations to operate all across the continent. While most kingdoms have their own branches with their own methods, those branches exchange scientific findings regarding the Elements and the way other species use them. They remain neutral in political affairs, and do not stop any kingdom from using foreign magic against its rivals - but they are sure to interfere if non-Elves wield such powers without permission.
dark or pale, west or east, rich or poor.
I pledge my allegiance beyond the crowns,
for this world holds greater threats than they see."
Elven Supremacists - or just paranoid?
"Ugh. Just a bunch of elitist fanatics, if you ask me. Hunting everyone who doesn't look like an Elf." - "Don't say that! Would you want to run into a Vampire that twists your mind into doing its bidding?" - "What, just because they're Vampires they're supposed to be evil?" - "Better to keep an eye on them than to be sorry afterwards." - "Sheesh. With that attitude, we need not be surprised when the other cultures turn against us."The organization is rooted in a fear of unknown magic and their wielders. Consequently, they have a reputation for treating any non-Elf as a criminal, whether there is evidence or not. The reality is less clear-cut. In some areas, there are even rumors that members of other species were seen working for the Inquisistion.
Public Agenda
"You can only defend yourself against what you know."The Elemental Inquisition is tasked with identifying, understanding, and neutralizing foreign magic - that is, any ability that can't be explained by the eight elements to which Elves are naturally attuned. In particular, they keep an eye on the shapeshifting species from the north.
