Netherite influence

Long-term contact with Netherite.

The afflicted becomes more violent and less in control of themself over time. In later stages, paranoia often sets in, causing the afflicted to be less trustful of others and more prone to lashing out.

Staying away from Netherite contact for prolonged periods will lessen the symptoms and fully heal eventually. This doesn't work if the afflicted has been afflicted for over a decade.

The afflicted will begin to resort to violence as a solution to problems more easily. As years pass, the Netherite begins to consume the programming of the afflicted, causing them to physically weaken at a faster rate than what occurs in a standard Minecraftian's lifetime. After a decade has passed, their sanity will wane. Eventually, they may refuse to accept anything that goes wrong and attempt to force their way through violence and aggression. They will often refuse to see reason as their perception on reality is scattered.

The first to become afflicted with this condition currently is not known. The second to become afflicted was George. Coven would eventually become afflicted, as would Lucian in his fourth life. Hudson would become afflicted later on.

Because of this corruptive property of Netherite, many see Netherite as a forbidden material, one that is taboo for using.
