Era beginning/end

The First League, an alliance of various species, is formed in the northern and southern quadrants of the galaxy. They are particularly powerful, controlling much of the galaxy through hard or soft power, and construct an ecumenopolis as their capital. However, the alliance eventually breaks apart, and the capital world is left to starve.
