Vashra
When humanity began venturing into the continent of Ryllyn, the northern-most Kesir state of the time was Ere'Kathyr. According to legend, Ere'Kanthyr was a land of pilgrimage for the elves of the time, with many scattered temples and groves that held significance to their people. When the humans of the Kithlanan League began pushing west during the Brindaryl Expansion, the elves fought hardest in Ere'Kanthyr, leading to some of the ugliest wars in known history. It was the loss of Ere'Kanthyr that inspired the formation of the Elirho and a push for Elven expansion.
When the Elirhyani conducted their reconquest of Ryllyn, the land once known as Ere'Kanthyr was struck hardest by the warriors of Elirho. During the Elirhyani occupation, the land was renamed Ere'Vaasra, and the capital of the reborn elven nation of the north, K'Vaasra, was built there.
At the time of the Vosian Uprising, Ere'Vaasra endured years of fighting on its periphery; however, when the fighting broke through, the Elirhyani abandoned Ki'Vaasra and the Vaasran heartland without a fight. After removing the Elirhyani, the leader of the uprising, Davin Tel'Vos, withdrew his forces, and encouraged the growth of the Moresian Empire in the lands to the south.
Now, Vashra is the northernmost state of the Moresian Empire, created as the last area of Moresian Expansion. The lure of Vashra's natural resources encouraged the creation of the Imperial Northern Resource Company, an organization chartered by the Emperor to organize the trade of various sundries to the people of Vashra and organize the gathering of the areas resources for the benefit of the greater Empire. The land itself remains relatively distant from the heart of the Empire, and much of Imperial culture has yet to make its way into the lives of the people living in Vashra. The rolling hills and dark forests of Vashra are mostly unexplored, filled with unnameable creatures and mysterious arcane forces. Ruins of Dwarven and Elven make (along with some other less well-known peoples) lie hidden in the wilderness and under the cities of the region.
