Into the Woods- Session 2

The party, having survived the wreck of the Ambin and woken up on the Shrouded Coast, gathered themselves and headed into the dense, misty forest. Walking north, the party began to notice the strange nature of the forest that surrounded them.    They eventually came upon a small cabin, long abandoned. Inside were the remains of a once simple and rustic home. Humanoid remains were found, as well as a journal containing evidence that the former resident was desperate to leave and head to a nearby town called Sarith.   The party settled into the cabin for a night's rest, barricading the door and windows. Before sleeping, Ezra was able to open the strange chest. Inside was a strange book with a gemstone of some kind missing from the cover.   During the night, the party encountered a ghoul. Luring it inside, they were able to slay it after catching it off guard. After the peaceful night that followed, the party gathered their things and made their way to a trail leading north from the cottage...
