Middlemark lies on the Old Isle where the people of Middlemark have lived since time beyond reckoning. Great families rule as King and as the Four Earls who govern the land to the north, south, east and west. The descendants of the First Folk live in the Isles and claim a legendary status as the true rulers of Middlemark. The Great Death swept over Middlemark over a century ago and devastated the people. Today, the ancient traditions are changing as power shifts and the Old Order changes.
