The Whitewater Sea
The Whitewater sea is located along the eastern coastline of The Kingdom of Illargos. The northernmost waters are frozen over, creating a patchwork of giant ice sheets which can be walked on with confidence in winter. The area is also littered with icebergs and small rocky islands void of all but the toughest scrubby plant life and arctic animals. The southern section of the Whitewater sea is far warmer, allowing for safe enough passage from those who wish to cross, but even those sailors must contend with the storms which plague the sea causing high waves and fierce winds. The day after a storm foamy waters to froth at the coastline's edges, the phenomena for which the sea was named.
