The Viridis Genus
The Viridis Genus is a group of wilderness survival experts who take it upon themselves to preserve the natural order of the world, they live deep in the wild and employ fighting styles and survival techniques which allow them to survive the harsh conditions of nature untamed. Members of this organisation find themselves wandering all over the land, with jobs ranging from tending to sacred grottos and druid circles to protecting animals being hunted for sport. The Viridis Genus has learned recently that the balance of magic in the world is tipping more and more towards uncontrolled chaos; creatures thought to be myths returning, planar portals opening more and more frequently, and magic itself becoming more potent and less restrictive in its uses. To combat this, its members also root out the locations where the veil between planes is thin and watch over those areas to prevent or at least police crossings.
Structure
Due to the nature of this organisations work, the structure of it's members consists many individuals roaming the wilds keeping an eye out for signs of chaotic magic and protecting the denizens of the wilds. Typical members of The Viridis Genus are those with a strong link to natural magic with most being druids and rangers, although any champion of natural law can find a place within the organisation. The Viridis Genus make use of the various druid groves scattered around Midasfjall to meet up and take shelter when needed, they have a good reputation with the druids within the circles and are received openly. Some druid groves are maintained specifically for the Viridis genus to use as headquarters, within you can find an Oneiromancer; a dream mage who can sense the upcoming opening of an extraplanar portal by how chaotic magical energies gather before causing a portal to open. The members of The Viridis Genus follow the predictions of the dream mage and seek to prevent the portal opening or stop whatever creatures come through an opened portal to preserve the balance of magic in the region.

Public Agenda
The main goal of The Viridis Genus is the preservation of the wilds and the creatures within it. They do this by roaming the continent of Midasfjall performing duties such as hunting poachers who have abused the laws of the wild, tracking down the locations of extraplanar portals and closing them, destroying unnatural creatures to preserve the balance of magical energies, and protecting the wild lands inhabited by creatures from the expansion of society. They also endeavor to help travelers who get themselves lost in the wild and can be relied upon to guide them back to civilisation. In recent years, The Viridis Genus have been visiting cities in order to spread the word of the imbalance in magical energies felt by their Oneiromancers, seeking to educate the people about the dangers of extraplanar portals opening and the creatures which could come from within.
