WorldEmber 2024 Pledge

For WorldEmber 2024, my primary focus will be the Valley of Plenty. After years of planning, the PF2 campaign will actually start in December. As part of it, I have been drawing random NPCs with the players' input, using the Oracle Character Generator cards. During WorldEmber, I'll be writing up those NPCs, as well as the PCs.   But that won't be all. I need to fill some gaps with more scouts and faction members, so that there's enough npcs for the players to interact with. And then there's Spooktober + The Longest Journey, and my NovelEmber writing. Those all had me writing up various characters, who I intend to now give articles explaining who they are. In total, that gives me 60+ characters to write. I'm hoping to get 50 of them done.
Goal
15000 Words & 50+ Characters

What's the (Mini)-Meta?

WE the People
By the time of this writing, my players have already drawn cards for 20 NPCs. By the time WE starts, that should already be 30. This will be a varied bunch, from members of the factions, to quest givers, and even random streetfolk. Some will be relevant soon, others only way later in the campaign. Knights, noblefolk, clergy, merchants, scouts, civilians, many with all kinds of shady stuff hiding underneath. However, I will make most of these articles shorter than before.
Drama
Since I'll be writing up several quest-givers, I'll also think of a few nice Commissions (also known as Quests). Some of these might be rather spoilerish, so I'll make sure to censor those with my new Observer-only containers. That way, anyone who wants to read can join the right subscriber group, but my Players will not be able to see. This will of course distract me with searching for neat monsters and hazards to use, but it is a sacrifice I will nobly make.

Prime-time

I was thinking of writing a Primer for the Valley. Turns out, I already have two! So I just made a Primer category and threw them in there. I also set up the Observer group already due to hiding spoiler content from my players. So all that's left is just leaving these links here:

Inspirational

My inspiration is easy: The writing I'm doing for NovelEmber. Forget reading stories to inspire myself, I'm writing them instead! Works way better to figure out my character, including discovering that some of them are total glitches, y'know?   There's no Shadowrun writing this year, so I can focus fully on WE. Same schedule as always: Monday evenings, Tuesday + Thursday trainrides, Thursday evenings, and Sundays. Aight, let's do this!
