Temple of the Blessed Family
The Temple of the Holy Family is the largest religious institution in Mezclandia. They are the most politically powerful religion in Xarlaca, aggressively sending out priests to minister to outlying communities, ensuring a steady growth from converts.
Theologically, they emphasize that the gods are a family and that those familial roles and relationships are the most important aspects of their divine dominions. There are a few major theological schisms within the temple.
The first is whether Extrajeles, the Star people, are members of the Holy Family or not. Those who feel they are, see them as representing those who marry into a family or become bound by laws and friendship. Those who don’t see them as divine strangers or outsiders.
There is also some disagreement on whether Chicue, the Ancestor should be worshipped by the living, or whether it is a divine being whose proper worship belongs only to the spirits of the dead.
