Elf
Elves come from all over the world. To elves, the Feywild and Shadowfell are just different parts of the world. Elves live for incredibly long periods of time, making them excellent historians. They have ancestral ties to Mepherian, the intellectual powerhouse of the world.
Culture
Shared customary codes and values
Many elves are still culturally Aran even if they themselves are not believers. The Aran ideals of discussion and balance play heavily into a great deal of of Elven culture. Elves also favor freedom, self-expression, and other individualist notions.
Coming of Age Rites
An elf comes of age after 100. On their 100th birthday, there is a celebration in recognition of their adulthood. On this day, they choose their adult name.
Ideals
Gender Ideals
Elves don't have strong opinions on gender. Many elves tend to be very fluid in their gender presentation. Some elves even have what is known as the Blessing of Correlon, which allows them to flip between distinct sexes.
Relationship Ideals
The elven ideal of freedom translates directly into relationships: elves tend to fall into polysingle relationships. Elves may go through 10 full marriages in their life without scandal, especially when marrying races that don't live nearly as long.
Major organizations
The temples of Aran have historical ties to elves, founded in Mepherian and spread through most of the first millennia through elven trade routes
