Human
Humans dwell across Apias, and Meterra, encompassing a full range of cultures and ethnicities. In The Beskus Empire they are all pervasive, with only small pockets of other races being extant, and usually those are ostracised. This is the only part of Apias where Humans are the most dominant race. In other nations there are seldom "pure" humans, with the majority having some elements of other blood, be it dwarf, elf, orc or anything else.
Contrasting to the racial unanimity of Beskus, the humans across the rest of the continent are as numerous and varied as can be imagined, some of the most adaptable people, they find a home wherever they go. Their cultural and societal makeup runs the gamut, from the cosmopolitan folk who reside in great cities such as Bassonne and Red Mesa to the barbarians who rage throughout The Blasted Frontier and Raging Badlands.
No other race lives in so many diverse lands or environments, from lush jungles to burning deserts, from the eternal cold to the south of Rashana to the fertile shores along rivers and seas. Humans find ways to survive and to thrive almost anywhere. In locations where other races have withdrawn, humans often move in and build anew alongside or on top of an earlier community.
It follows, then, that the most common feature of humans is their lack of commonality. This diversity has enabled human civilisations to grow faster than those of other races, making humans one of the numerous races in much of the world today. It has also led to conflicts between communities of humans because of their cultural and political differences. If not for their penchant for infighting and disunity, humans would be even more populous than they already are.
