The Eye

The Eye is an island in the middle of the bay in the Heartlands, so called because at the cenntre of this small island is a seemingly bottomless lake. Mostly flat, with few trees, the ground there appears to be very fertile and clear. To the Tribes of the Heartlands, this is forbidden ground, that none may step foot upon or defile, for to do so shall bring about calamity. In years past, the Mither of the Sea, a dragon named Skyethia, of whom the Tribe of the Dragon is devoted, was said to roam the skies above, descending to repel any invaders of the small island, first by word, then by fire and claw if defied. The precise nature of what lies on the island, as well as how it will bring about this calamity, is unknown. The Mither of the Sea has not been seen in some time either, with only her devoted tribe having any knowledge of her whereabouts.   In recent days, a group of settlers from the Southern Kingdoms landed there, and constructed a small village. Since then, the tribes of the Heartlands have reacted with great anger, many of them banding together under the Tribe of the Dragon to oppose this disrespect for their ways. While they are not murderous, they nevertheless have made it clear: Leave The Eye, or war will break out.
